Roles and permissions

What the Owner, Admin, Editor and Viewer can do in a project, checked against the app, and where your role is shown.

Everyone on a project has one role there. Roles are set per project, so the same person can be an Editor on one project and a Viewer on another. The Owner is the person who created the project; their plan applies to it.

The four roles

"Editor""Can view and edit content, keywords, AI visibility data"
"Viewer""Read-only access to all project data"

The app's one-line description says Editors edit keywords, but adding and deleting keywords is kept for the Owner and Admins. The table shows what the app checks.

Important

A few buttons don't check the role yet, for example "Measure again" in Competitors, which uses the owner's credits. Keep that in mind before you invite someone, even as a Viewer.

Where your role shows

When you open someone else's project, a small "Admin", "Editor" or "Viewer" badge sits next to the project name in the project switcher (in English in every language). The Team page lists every member with their role.

Change a role

On the Team page, in "Members", open the actions of a person, choose "Change role", then "Make …". Only the Owner and Admins can do this. See Team members.
