Strategy and tasks
Generate, read and edit the Assistant's strategy, browse its history, and approve, run or dismiss the tasks it suggests.
"Strategy" is the Assistant's plan for your project: a short situation report and 3 to 7 ranked priorities, each with suggested tasks. "Tasks" lists those suggestions so you can approve, run or dismiss them. Both are in the Assistant's menu, under Tools.
Make a strategy
Open "Strategy"
With no strategy yet, the page says "No strategy yet". Click "Start the Assistant".
Wait 15 to 30 seconds
The button reads "Analyzing…" while the Assistant works.
Read the result
The page header shows "Active since" and the date of the strategy.
Later, "Regenerate" makes a new strategy from the latest data. You can also write "Generate a strategy" in the chat. A strategy is only made when you ask: there is no automatic weekly run.
What it reads
- What the Assistant noticed on your project in the last 7 days (up to 50 observations).
- Your open tasks, so it does not suggest the same work twice.
- Your Brand Book.
- Your 50 keywords with the most search volume.
The strategy is written in French when your Brand Book is in French, and in English otherwise.
What a strategy contains
| Section | What you see |
|---|---|
| "Situation Report" | A summary of where your project stands. |
| "Key Objectives" | Your goals. Empty after a generation: add them with "Edit". |
| "Priorities" | 3 to 7, ranked. Each has a category (content, technical, keywords, AI visibility, backlinks, competitive), an effort and an impact (low, medium, high). Click one to read why it matters and its "Suggested Tasks". |
| "Threats & Risks" | Risks, each with a "Mitigation". Empty after a generation: add your own with "Edit". |
Each section has an "Ask the Assistant" button. It opens the chat with a question about that section already written, such as "What should I prioritize this week based on current data?".
Edit the strategy
Click "Edit". You can rewrite the situation report, add ("Add priority") or delete priorities, change their category, effort and impact, and add objectives and threats ("Add threat"). Finish with "Save changes" or "Cancel". While you edit, "Regenerate" is off: "Finish editing before regenerating".
Strategy History
Below the active strategy, "Strategy History" lists every strategy by date. The newest is marked "Active". Each line shows its focus (the first priority) and how many priorities and threats it has. Click a line to read its situation, top 5 priorities and top 3 threats. A second strategy made on the same day replaces the first one.
Tasks
Every suggested task of a new strategy is added to "Tasks" as Proposed. The tabs filter by status: All, Proposed, Approved, In Progress, Completed, Dismissed.
| Status | Buttons | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| Proposed | "Approve", "Dismiss" | Approve keeps the task. Dismiss greys it out. |
| Approved, In Progress | "Execute", "Complete" | "Execute" appears only on tasks that carry an action Rankfender can run itself, such as adding keywords or starting an audit, and runs it at once. "Complete" marks the task done. |
| Any status except Dismissed | "Add to Planning" | Copies the task to the Planning board. The button then reads "Added to Planning". |
With no task yet, the page says "No tasks yet" and "Start the Assistant" opens the chat. These tasks stay apart from Planning until you click "Add to Planning": see Task board.
Tip
Ask the chat "What should I do this week?". When no recent strategy exists, the Assistant makes one and walks you through its priorities.
