Projects and multi-language brands
How projects work, how many your plan includes, switching between them, and adding a language to a brand on Business.
What a project is
A project is one website in one language. Everything else belongs to a project: its keywords, AI questions and answers, competitors, articles, site audits, tasks and reports. Setting up a new project uses about 80 credits.
How many projects your plan includes
| Plan | Websites |
|---|---|
| Pay as you go | 1 |
| Essential | 1 |
| Professional | 2 |
| Business | 5 |
| Agencies | Unlimited |
Each language version of a brand counts as one website. When all your websites are in use, adding one shows "Website Limit Reached": open an existing project, or change plan to add more.
The Projects page
Open it from Workspace › Projects in the sidebar. Each brand has a card; "Add new project" starts the "Your website" setup step (your plan is already chosen). "Shared with me" lists projects other people invited you to.

- Switch project: use the project switcher in the sidebar, or click a card on Projects. Your role in that project (Admin, Editor or Viewer) is shown next to its name.
- Delete a project: from its card, then type the project name to confirm. This permanently deletes the project and its data, including keywords, articles and backlinks.
- Team members invited to your account cannot create projects; only the account owner can ("Project creation restricted").
Multi-language brands
Business and up
A brand can have one project per language, for example example.com in English and example.fr in French. Each language version is a full project with its own keywords, AI questions and articles, grouped under one brand card.
- The brand card shows one pill per language; click a pill to open that version.
- The dashed "Language" pill opens "Add a language to …": enter the website, the language and the country. A brand can have only one project per language.
- Below Business, the pill shows a lock ("Multilanguage projects require the Business plan") and opens the plans.
Note
Business includes 5 websites in total: for example 5 brands in one language, or 1 brand in 5 languages. See Plan limits.
