What are Topics?

Topics define the subject areas where you want to track your brand's AI visibility. Each topic represents a domain of expertise or product category relevant to your business.

Creating Topics

  1. Go to AI Visibility → Topics
  2. Click "Add Topic"
  3. Enter a topic name and description
  4. Optionally add related keywords
  5. Rankfender automatically generates relevant prompts for the topic

Topic Examples

  • A CRM software company might track: "CRM software", "Sales automation", "Customer relationship management"
  • An SEO agency might track: "SEO tools", "Content marketing", "Link building strategies"
  • An e-commerce brand might track: "Running shoes", "Athletic footwear", "Marathon training gear"

Topic Metrics

Each topic shows:

  • Visibility Score: How visible your brand is for this topic
  • Mention Count: Total AI mentions in this topic area
  • Prompts: Number of prompts being tracked
  • Trend: Score change over the selected period

Optimizing Topics

If a topic has low visibility:

  • Create more content around that topic
  • Ensure your existing content directly answers common questions
  • Use structured data and clear, authoritative language
  • Build topical authority with comprehensive coverage
