Matriz de posicionamiento

Define cómo debe posicionarse tu marca frente a cada competidor.

Overview

The Positioning Matrix defines how your brand should be positioned against each individual competitor. This structured data drives competitive prompt generation and feeds into RAIVE (Rankfender AI Visibility Engine) analysis, ensuring that your brand's competitive narrative is consistent and strategically aligned across all AI touchpoints.

Matrix Structure

Each competitor in your landscape has a dedicated entry in the Positioning Matrix with the following fields:

FieldDescription
Competitor NameThe name of the competitor this positioning entry applies to.
Our StrengthThe primary strength or advantage your brand holds over this competitor.

When Choose ThemScenarios, use cases, or buyer criteria where this competitor may be a better fit than your brand.

Creating Positioning Entries

To create a positioning entry for a competitor:

  1. Navigate to Project Settings > Positioning Matrix.
  2. Select a competitor from your landscape or click Add Entry.
  3. Fill in each field with specific, evidence-based information.
  4. Set the confidence score based on how well-supported your positioning claims are.
  5. Save the entry.

You can create multiple positioning entries for the same competitor if your competitive dynamic varies across different categories or market segments.

How Positioning Feeds into Analysis

The Positioning Matrix is not just a reference document. It actively powers two critical Rankfender functions:

Competitive Prompt Generation

When Rankfender generates prompts for AI monitoring, it uses your positioning data to craft prompts that test specific competitive claims. For example, if your positioning entry states that customers should choose you for enterprise scalability, Rankfender will generate prompts that specifically test whether AI systems recommend your brand in enterprise scalability contexts.

RAIVE Analysis

The RAIVE engine uses your positioning entries to evaluate whether AI responses align with your intended competitive narrative. If your positioning states that your key differentiator is ease of use, RAIVE checks whether AI systems actually reference ease of use when mentioning your brand alongside this competitor. Misalignment between your intended positioning and actual AI responses is flagged for attention.

Maintaining the Matrix

Review and update your Positioning Matrix regularly, especially after significant competitive changes such as a competitor launching new features, entering new markets, or changing their pricing model. The confidence score should be adjusted as new evidence becomes available. Entries with low confidence scores may produce less reliable prompt generation and analysis results.

A well-maintained Positioning Matrix is the foundation for effective competitive monitoring in Rankfender. The more specific and evidence-based your entries are, the more actionable the insights you receive from prompt analysis and RAIVE.
