This feature is currently in development and will be available in a future release.
Backlinks Dashboard
My Backlinks will serve as your central hub for tracking and managing every backlink acquired through the Rankfender Marketplace and Network. The dashboard provides a comprehensive, real-time view of your entire backlink portfolio, combining detailed per-link data with aggregate metrics and trend analysis. Whether you have acquired ten backlinks or ten thousand, the dashboard will keep everything organized and actionable.
Individual Backlink Data
For every backlink in your portfolio, the dashboard will display the following information:
| Data Point | Description |
|---|---|
| Source URL | The full URL of the page where your backlink is placed. |
| Target URL | The page on your site that the backlink points to. |
| Anchor Text | The clickable text used for the backlink. |
| Source DA / DR | The Domain Authority and Domain Rating of the referring domain at the time of acquisition. |
| Date Acquired | The date the backlink was first verified as live by Rankfender's crawler. |
| Link Status | Current status of the backlink: Live, Removed, Nofollow Changed, Anchor Modified, or Page Not Found. |
| Referring Page Traffic | Estimated monthly organic traffic to the specific page where your backlink is placed. |
| Link Type | Whether the link is dofollow or nofollow. |
| Acquisition Source | Whether the backlink was acquired through the Marketplace or the Network. |
Automated Monitoring
One of the most valuable features of My Backlinks will be its automated monitoring system. Rankfender's crawler will regularly visit every backlink source to verify that your links remain live and unmodified. The monitoring frequency depends on your plan:
- Professional: Backlinks are crawled once per week.
- Agencies: Backlinks are crawled once per day.
- Enterprise: Real-time monitoring with near-instant detection of changes.
The monitoring system will detect the following types of changes:
- Link Removed: The backlink has been completely removed from the source page.
- Nofollow Added: The link attribute has been changed from dofollow to nofollow.
- Anchor Text Modified: The anchor text has been changed from what was originally agreed upon.
- Page Not Found: The source page returns a 404 error, meaning the entire page has been deleted.
- Redirect Detected: The source page has been redirected to a different URL.
- Robots Blocked: The source page has been blocked from search engine crawling via robots.txt or meta tags.
Alerts and Notifications
When the monitoring system detects any change to one of your backlinks, you will receive an immediate alert. Alerts will be delivered through multiple channels depending on your notification preferences:
- In-app notification in your Rankfender dashboard.
- Email notification with details of the change and a direct link to the affected backlink record.
- Webhook notification for integration with external tools and workflows (available on Agencies and Enterprise plans).
Each alert will include the specific change detected, the source URL, the date of detection, and recommended actions. For Marketplace-acquired backlinks where the link was removed or significantly modified, Rankfender will guide you through the dispute process to seek resolution with the publisher.
Aggregate Metrics
Beyond individual backlink data, the My Backlinks dashboard will provide a suite of aggregate metrics that give you a high-level view of your backlink profile's health and growth:
- Total Backlinks: The total number of backlinks currently in your portfolio.
- Total Referring Domains: The number of unique domains linking to your site through the Rankfender platform.
- Average Domain Authority: The mean DA across all referring domains, indicating the overall quality of your backlink sources.
- Link Velocity: The number of new backlinks acquired per month, displayed as a trend line to track your link-building momentum.
- Anchor Text Distribution: A visual chart showing the breakdown of your anchor text types (exact match, partial match, branded, generic, URL) to help you maintain a natural profile.
- Dofollow / Nofollow Ratio: The proportion of dofollow versus nofollow links in your portfolio.
- Active vs. Lost Backlinks: A comparison of currently live backlinks versus those that have been removed or modified.
Historical View
The historical view will allow you to see how your backlink profile has grown and changed over time. An interactive timeline chart will display backlink acquisitions, losses, and net growth on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. You will be able to overlay key events such as Google algorithm updates or major content publications to correlate backlink activity with broader SEO trends. This longitudinal perspective is essential for understanding the impact of your link-building strategy and making data-driven adjustments.
Filtering and Sorting
The backlinks list within the dashboard will support extensive filtering and sorting options to help you find specific links quickly:
- Filter by link status (live, removed, modified).
- Filter by acquisition source (Marketplace or Network).
- Filter by date range (acquired within a specific period).
- Filter by target URL (see all backlinks pointing to a specific page).
- Filter by source DA range.
- Sort by date acquired, source DA, referring page traffic, or link status.
Export and Reporting
All backlink data can be exported to CSV format for use in external reporting tools, client presentations, or custom analysis. The export will include all data points for each backlink, along with aggregate metrics at the top of the file. For agencies managing multiple client projects, this export functionality makes it straightforward to generate white-label backlink reports. Scheduled exports will be available on the Agencies and Enterprise plans, allowing you to automatically receive updated backlink reports on a weekly or monthly basis via email.
