What are Prompts?
Prompts are specific questions or queries that people ask AI systems. By tracking prompts relevant to your industry, you can monitor whether AI systems mention your brand in their answers.
Auto-Generated Prompts
When you create a Topic, Rankfender automatically generates relevant prompts. For example, for the topic "CRM software", prompts might include:
- "What is the best CRM software for small businesses?"
- "How do I choose a CRM system?"
- "Compare the top CRM platforms"
- "What features should a CRM have?"
Custom Prompts
Add your own prompts to track specific queries:
- Go to AI Visibility → Prompts
- Click "Add Prompt"
- Enter the prompt text
- Assign it to a topic
- Rankfender begins tracking AI responses
How Tracking Works
Rankfender periodically queries multiple AI platforms with your tracked prompts and analyzes the responses for:
- Direct brand mentions
- URL citations
- Product/service mentions
- Competitor mentions
- Ranking position within the response
