What is Brand Voice?
Brand Voice defines how your content sounds. It controls the tone, formality, vocabulary, and personality of every AI-generated article. A well-configured Brand Voice ensures your content reads as if a human on your team wrote it.
Tone Settings
Select the overall tone for your content:
- Professional: Formal, authoritative, business-oriented
- Conversational: Friendly, approachable, easy to read
- Technical: Precise, detailed, expert-level
- Casual: Relaxed, informal, personality-driven
- Inspirational: Motivating, forward-looking, aspirational
Writing Style
Fine-tune how articles are structured and written:
- Reading Level: Choose between general audience, educated, or expert
- Sentence Length: Preference for short, punchy sentences or longer, detailed ones
- Paragraph Length: Short paragraphs (2-3 sentences) or longer blocks
- Use of Examples: How frequently to include real-world examples
Vocabulary & Terminology
Control the language used in generated content:
- Preferred Terms: Words and phrases your brand uses (e.g., "clients" instead of "customers")
- Avoided Terms: Words to never use (e.g., competitor names, banned phrases)
- Industry Jargon: Whether to use or avoid technical terms
Brand Personality Traits
Select up to 5 personality traits that describe your brand. The AI uses these to shape content character:
- Innovative, Trustworthy, Bold, Empathetic, Analytical
- Playful, Authoritative, Transparent, Supportive, Ambitious
Do's and Don'ts
Add specific writing rules for the AI to follow:
- Do: Use data to back up claims, include actionable takeaways
- Don't: Make unverified claims, use clickbait headlines, be overly salesy
Testing Your Voice
After configuring Brand Voice, generate a test article and review it. If the tone doesn't match expectations, adjust the settings and regenerate. Most brands find the right voice after 2-3 iterations.
