Chat Interface Overview

The RAISA Chat interface provides a conversational way to explore your Rankfender project data. Instead of navigating through multiple dashboards and reports, you can ask questions in plain language and receive data-backed answers instantly. RAISA interprets your questions, queries the relevant data sources, and responds with clear, cited answers.

You can open the chat interface from any page in Rankfender by clicking the chat widget in the bottom-right corner or by pressing Cmd/Ctrl+J. The chat expands into a slide-out panel that does not interrupt your current workflow.

What You Can Ask

RAISA understands a wide range of questions related to your project data. Here are the primary categories of queries you can make.

Performance Questions

Ask about traffic trends, ranking movements, and metric changes over any time period. RAISA will pull the relevant data and summarize the key findings for you.

Tool Calling

Beyond answering questions, RAISA can execute actions on your behalf through a capability called tool calling. When you request an action in the chat, RAISA identifies the appropriate tool, confirms the parameters with you, and then executes it. This allows you to manage your project without leaving the chat interface.

Before executing any tool, RAISA will display a confirmation showing exactly what action it plans to take and the parameters it will use. You must approve the action before it is executed.

Data Citations

Every response from RAISA includes citations to the underlying data sources. These citations tell you exactly where the information came from, the time range of the data, and which integration provided it. For example, a response about traffic trends might include a citation such as "Based on your Google Search Console data from January 1 to January 31, 2025."

Citations serve two purposes. First, they allow you to verify the accuracy of RAISA's responses by checking the original data source. Second, they help you understand the scope and freshness of the data being referenced, so you can determine how current the insight is.

Conversation Management

Chat history is persisted on a per-project basis. Each conversation thread is automatically saved and can be revisited at any time from the chat panel's history view.

  • Thread Titles — RAISA automatically generates a descriptive title for each conversation based on the initial question. You can rename threads at any time for easier organization.
  • Thread History — Access all previous conversations from the sidebar within the chat panel. Threads are sorted by most recent activity.
  • New Conversation — Start a fresh conversation thread at any time by clicking the new conversation button. Previous threads are preserved and accessible from the history.
  • Context Continuity — Within a single thread, RAISA maintains full context of the conversation. You can ask follow-up questions without repeating earlier details.

Rate Limits

The number of chat messages and tool calls available per month depends on your Rankfender subscription plan. RAISA displays your current usage and remaining quota in the chat panel footer. When you approach your limit, RAISA will notify you proactively. If you reach the limit, Insight Cards continue to function normally, but chat interactions are paused until the next billing cycle or until you upgrade your plan.
